Rehearsal

Allow us to plan a special pre-wedding get-together for your closest family and friends to get to know each other over some of the best cuisine in Southern California. Get acclimated to the property and enjoy all of the conveniences of having your rehearsal dinner in the same location as your reception and ceremony.

Our well-manicured lawn, private beach, and poolside patios are just some of the venue options for your rehearsal dinner. Match the ambiance to follow the theme of your wedding or go an entirely different route. Mix and mingle at a casual bayside barbeque; dance to steel drums and dine on lobster at a “clambake;” or do the hula and don a Hawaiian shirt for a California “Beach Boy” theme.

Bridal Accommodations

With so many things to do on your wedding day, hotel check-in should be the last thing on your mind. When you host your reception at The Balboa Bay Club & Resort you have the option of staying in one of our luxurious guest rooms, allowing you to get ready with ease and comfort. Special discounted rates will be available for additional nights and on additional rooms.

Choose from stunning poolside or bayfront views, or indulge in our beautifully appointed Presidential Suite with 3,000 square feet of space and a private veranda. Our 160 casually elegant guestrooms will easily accommodate you, your bridal party, and additional guests.

Ceremony

Say your “I do’s” amid the unique outdoor venues of The Balboa Bay Club & Resort. Our expansive Members Beach Lawn, which can accommodate up to 350 guests, overlooks the stunning private beach and the Newport Bay. For more intimate ceremonies, consider our Bayfront Lawn, located at the south end of our property. This hidden garden by the bay accommodates up to 200 guests.

As the only waterfront resort in Newport Beach, The Balboa Bay Club & Resort allows brides the added possibility of making a grand entrance on a yacht via our private dock to create a “walk down the aisle” that won’t soon be forgotten.

Reception

With flexible layouts, privacy, and water views, our wedding facilities will turn your special day into an extraordinary one. Choose a cozy, bayfront room for more intimate receptions with up to 130 guests, or host a livelier affair in our Grand Ballroom, featuring 7,000 square feet of space, five crystal-and-pearl chandeliers, and seating for up to 450 guests.

Designed to evoke a residential atmosphere, each of our private rooms boasts marble credenzas and beautiful sconces. Many of these rooms feature French doors that open onto their own private patios to take in the sea breezes.

Our five-star-trained staff includes some of the most seasoned hospitality members in Orange County, some of whom have been with the property for more than 40 years.
